The mobile client is dependent on an organization having Lync 2010 Server installed. The mobile client must be provisioned by the Lync server administrator first, and that will enable users to download and begin using the various Lync 2010 mobile apps, a Microsoft unified communications team blog explained.
All told, the work of the IBM Bucharest Systems Laboratory will enhance IBM’s virtualization capabilities in its switches, as well as their ability to manage and optimize diverse workloads. IBM monitors 13 billion security events per day in more than 130 countries and holds 3,000 security patents.
The collaboration extends a long-standing relationship between the two organizations. In addition to the focus on expanding analytics curriculums, Northwestern faculty are also working alongside IBM researchers at the TJ Watson Research Center to explore material science, engineering and computing innovations.
