Dallas said Microsoft has “doubled down” on this business, doubling the size of his organization over the last three years. That data may be stored and crunched in Microsoft’s Azure cloud service, while the applications and embedded computers are managed like a corporate fleet of PCs, using Microsoft’s System Center orchestration server.
“Linux professionals are an important bedrock for the propagation of Free and Open Source Software in the developing world. As more people on this side of the world become proficient with Linux, there is greater demand for certification and recognition by an international body. LPI, as the world’s most recognized vendor-neutral Linux certification, addresses this need,” said Dr. Alvin B. Marcelo, director with IOSN ASEAN+3–one of the IOSN centers of excellence which organized and promoted the LPI proctor training program.

Participants were judged by an international panel of 50 education experts on a number of criteria.
“Honestly, what we know about here at Microsoft is but a tiny fraction of what is actually going on,” said Bill Crounse, a medical doctor and Microsoft’s senior director of worldwide health, referring to medical uses of Kinect. “Everywhere I go in the world – every hospital, college or public health organization, people are already doing something with Kinect or they plan to.”
